Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our team in Toledo, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee and manage financial transactions, including processing payments and reconciling accounts, to ensure the company's financial records remain accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Verify, process, and reconcile credit card transactions and receipts with financial statements. - Accurately record and post journal entries into the accounting system. - Collaborate with departments to ensure financial records are complete and accurate. - Review purchase orders and match them with corresponding receipts for accurate recordkeeping. - Prepare bank deposits by compiling and organizing data electronically. - Maintain and update inventory records to ensure accuracy. - Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, reporting any issues as needed. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company financial policies and regulations. - Utilize accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data. - Address inquiries regarding financial accounts using computerized financial systems. Requirements - Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; equivalent experience with a strong attention to detail may be considered. - A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable and general accounting. - Proficiency in accounting software, such as e-Emphasys, and strong computer skills. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis. - Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
