Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and a valid OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other or every third weekend required
• Hospital emergency department setting
• Patient ratio of 1:3.5
• Documents and charts using Epic EMR; medications dispensed via Pyxis
• Floating required
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified facility preferred
• Must be comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference — no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• 36-hour orientation provided
• Navy scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a 6-month separation period
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to a fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed packet to complete urgently
