Job Title: Electronics Technician Level III

Job Description

This role focuses on the repair, overhaul, and testing of aircraft electronic components and subcomponents, with a strong emphasis on circuit board-level work performed at the bench. You will troubleshoot to the component level, use advanced electronic test equipment, and apply a detailed understanding of circuit interrelationships to restore complex aerospace and avionics systems to service. The position is designated FAA safety sensitive and operates on a day shift schedule in a clean, temperature-controlled facility.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, overhaul, and test aircraft electrical components and subcomponents in accordance with work orders and applicable procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, disassemble, assemble, repair, and test electronic assemblies and subassemblies, including circuit cards and electrical controls, down to the component level.
  • Analyze and interpret complex circuit interrelationships to identify faults and ensure proper functionality.
  • Exercise independent judgment when performing circuit analyses, calculating waveforms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.
  • Use advanced electronic test instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
  • Disassemble, prepare, and inspect component subassemblies and final assemblies for various aerospace and avionics systems and components.
  • Verify final systems for completeness and correct operation prior to release for final inspection and shipping.
  • Utilize system-level return-to-service equipment and subassembly/component -level test equipment, including oscilloscopes, microscopes, Huntron and PinPoint systems, CCA and component troubleshooting devices, and volt/multimeters to locate and identify malfunctions.
  • Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools such as soldering irons, desoldering stations, crimpers, insertion and extraction tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers to perform precise electronic repairs.
  • Support the Quality Management System by strictly following procedures, work order instructions, and documentation requirements to maintain compliance with AS9100 and AS9110 standards.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other technicians in a bench-focused environment to share knowledge, support troubleshooting efforts, and maintain high repair standards.
  • Adhere to all FAA safety sensitive requirements, including applicable testing and compliance protocols.

Work Environment

You will primarily perform bench work alongside approximately 20 other technicians, focusing on detailed circuit board and component-level tasks. The position operates on a day shift schedule with a flexible start time of plus or minus one hour from 8:30, providing some adaptability in your daily routine. You will work within a structured Quality Management System aligned with AS9100 and AS9110 standards, and the role is designated as FAA safety sensitive. The environment is equipped with advanced electronic test instruments, microscopes, and specialized tools to support high-quality aerospace and avionics repairs, and the dress code aligns with a professional electronics lab setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
