Extrusion Operator

Job Title: Extrusion Operator (2nd or 3rd Shift) ($24-26/hr.)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated 2nd and 3rd shift Extrusion Machine Operators to join our team. This role involves operating advanced extrusion machinery, performing setups and changeovers, and ensuring quality control of film production. Responsibilities

• Perform setups and changeovers on extrusion machines.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Read and follow work instructions accurately.
• Operate tow motor and pallet equipment.
• Assist in laboratory testing of finished products.
• Conduct data lab work and train on equipment.
• Use measuring tools such as drop gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
• Test finished products for surface toughness.
• Conduct quality checks on films, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Enter data results into Excel for documentation.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and maintain safety awareness around hot equipment.
• Clean machinery and maintain a tidy workspace.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean, well-lit, and temperature-controlled, more akin to a laboratory than a traditional manufacturing facility. Employees are cross-trained in lab settings where they will use micrometers and gauges to test films. The company focuses on producing advanced nanolayered polymer films and is dedicated to high-performance energy and industrial applications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley View, OH.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
