Summary

The Department of Management invites applications for a renewable, qualified-rank Assistant Teaching Professor in the field of Supply Chain Management. The start date is August 10, 2026. This position is a full-time, non-tenure track with renewable 9-month appointments.

The Department of Management at BGSU is home to faculty who are consistently recognized for their innovative teaching and research nationally and internationally. Our faculty engage in cutting edge research which they bring into the classroom to enhance student education. The department houses the Doctorate of Organization Development and Change, the Master of Organization Development, and the Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management Programs and supports the college’s multiple MBA programs. The department hosts three BSBA specializations: International Business, Management, and Supply Chain Management.

Essential Functions

• Teaching/developing undergraduate and/or graduate-level supply chain management and operations management courses. There are not research responsibilities in this role.
• Demonstrate sufficient professional activity to maintain AACSB faculty qualifications
• Service to department, college, university, profession, and community

Minimum Qualifications

• MBA from an AACSB accredited school or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or closely related field with comparable accreditation and with the equivalent of at least 5 years of relevant work experience post master’s program.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Supply chain management practical experience and/or certifications
• Preferred candidates will have further evidence of teaching performance such as student and/or peer teaching evaluations.
• Strong potential to contribute to Department of Management programs, as well as the missions of the Schmidthorst College of Business and Bowling Green State University
• The ability to teach courses in international business and/or strategic management would also be viewed favorably
