Transit & Flow is scaling.

We operate an established plumbing, drain, sewer, and HVAC service business across Columbus with active demand, inbound calls, and real revenue.

We are hiring a Master Plumber / Plumbing Lead to take ownership of plumbing operations, ensure compliance, and lead technicians in the field.

This is a leadership role, not just a technician role.

The Role
You will lead plumbing operations, support revenue growth, and ensure jobs are executed correctly from start to finish.

You will:

• Diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems (residential and light commercial)
• Lead and support technicians in the field
• Ensure all work meets code and licensing requirements
• Review and approve complex jobs and estimates
• Support sales efforts by identifying and closing opportunities
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer experience
• Train and mentor technicians

Operational Leadership (Critical)

• Ensure all jobs are completed to code and company standards
• Verify job quality before close-out when required
• Enforce that all job statuses in Jobber accurately reflect real-time progress
• Ensure photos are uploaded for every job (before, during, after)
• Support proper documentation, permits, and compliance requirements
• Maintain clean, accurate job data in CRM

Revenue & Field Performance

• Support lead-to-close execution on plumbing jobs
• Increase average ticket through proper diagnosis and recommendations
• Assist in closing higher-value and complex jobs
• Reduce callbacks and rework through quality control

Systems & Process

• Support SOP development and enforcement in the field
• Work within Jobber CRM, QuickBooks, and company systems
• Help improve field workflows and technician efficiency

Requirements (preferred)

• 10 to 15+ years plumbing experience
• Master Plumber license or ability to qualify under Ohio requirements
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and compliance standards
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

• Experience leading a team of technicians
• Experience in residential service plumbing
• Experience with flat-rate pricing models
• Experience with Jobber or similar CRM systems
