Technical Assistant I

- Infrared Spectroscopy (IR)
- Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) spectroscopy
- Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)
- Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Titrations and other wet chemistry methods
- Prepare samples, standards, calibration curves, and reagents following established procedures.
- Analyze and interpret data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Document all analytical results in laboratory notebooks or LIMS.
- Associate or Bachelor"s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or related field; or equivalent laboratory experience (0-3 years).
- Basic understanding of chemical principles and common analytical techniques.
- Experience with IR, ICP, GPC, GC, or titrations (coursework or internship acceptable) preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work with minimal supervision after training.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safe laboratory practices and compliance with EH&S guidelines.
- Laboratory-based position requiring appropriate PPE.
- May involve standing for extended periods, working with chemicals, and using analytical instrumentation.
