We are seeking a full-time Sales Training & Certification Director who will lead the development, implementation and management of comprehensive product training programs for both internal teams and external customers. This role will be part of a strategic commercial sales team and will bring expertise in healthcare sales training, pharmacy workflows, medication management, and central fill automation.
This position offers the flexibility of working remotely when not traveling, however, preference will be given to candidates located in Central Ohio as frequent visits to our Columbus, OH office for product training and support to our Innovation Center strategy will be required.
As the Sales Training and Certification Director your contributions to the team will include:
Sales Enablement & Certification:
- Design, develop, and facilitate a comprehensive best-in-class sales certification program focused on solution selling, pharmacy workflow alignment, consultative selling, and competitive positioning.
- Program manage and facilitate structured sales onboarding and certification programs—delivered through both in-person classes and virtual instructor-led training (VILT)—featuring role-specific curriculum designed to accelerate time to readiness and improve win rates.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales leaders to ensure consistent messaging across the buyer journey.
- Implement performance tracking systems to measure sales readiness, certification status, and business impact.
Innovation Center Excellence:
- Execute Capsa’s Innovation Center strategy, delivering tailored, high-impact engagements with strategic accounts and C-suite decision-makers.
- Develop Innovation Center content journeys, agendas, and speaker alignment that support enterprise growth and solution adoption.
- Facilitate executive engagement, partnering with Sales and Marketing to ensure pre- and post-briefing follow-up drives momentum and influence.
- Oversee meeting room logistics for the Innovation Center, ensuring seamless coordination of space, technology, hospitality, and scheduling to deliver a premium experience for visiting customers and executive stakeholders.
Evaluation & Improvement:
- Implement robust evaluation methodologies to assess the effectiveness and impact of training and certification programs.
- Analyze training and certification data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and continuously optimize training programs.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in learning and development, instructional technology, and healthcare product training.
Other:
- Must understand and comply with Safety, 5S, ISO, and other corporate programs, initiatives and procedures.
- Dependable and consistent attendance is critical for team performance and productivity.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned.
What we ask of you:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Science, Engineering, Marketing, Education, or a clinical discipline (e.g., Nursing, Biomedical Engineering). Master's degree preferred.
- 5-7 years’ experience in healthcare sales training or enablement, with at least 3 years focused on healthcare automation.
- Advanced credentials in adult learning principles and certification methodologies.
- Background in pharmacy operations, medication management, or healthcare automation, ideally with exposure to central fill environments.
- Exceptional executive presence, facilitation, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build training infrastructure and scale programs across geographies and sales roles.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Travel required for customer engagements and sales training sessions.
- Prior experience at other healthcare technology/automation firms.
- Familiarity with enablement platforms (e.g., Articulate 360, Seismic, Lessonly), and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) with a focus on executive-level presentations, training dashboards, and customer engagement logistics.
