Carpenters and fabricators- fabricate Scenic Solutions projects under general supervision. These positions will perform basic carpentry and are expected to have knowledge of hand and power tools. It is also expected that those holding these positions can read and comprehend blueprints and utilize/read measuring equipment. Experience fabricating theatrical scenery, cabinetry, mill work or museum exhibits is desired.

Duties
- Adhere to and implement proper fabrication procedures
- Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances set forth on drawings
- Produce quality product while focusing on given standards.
- Follow specifications in job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints
- Handle heavy materials manually in a safe and efficient manner.
- Fabricator must be comfortable setting up and operating fabrication tools including hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.
- Ensure all fabrication is performed in compliance with Ravenswood Studio quality assurance policies.
- Clean and maintain equipment and workspace.
- Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment.
- Other non-fabrication duties on occasion as assigned (i.e., finish work, paint prep, material handling, cleanup, etc.)
- Clearly communicate! Respond to instructions and let others know when you do not have the information you need to do your job
- Ensure great customer service. If you think it’s wrong, it is. Fix the problem.
Requirements
- A positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to climb ladders
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
- Pass and maintain drug free workplace testing requirements
- Ability to use assigned tools
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Be familiar with and comply with all safety rules
- Valid US Passport is preferred
- Clean criminal background check
- Position requires pushing, pulling and overhead reach
