Assistant professor of business administration

Full-time, tenure-track position

POSITION SUMMARY:
Faculty typically teach 23-25 credits per academic year and engage in advising, service, and professional activities consistent with Bluffton University expectations. Appointments may include additional teaching and/or administrative responsibilities as appropriate. Specific appointment terms, workload expectations, and related policies are defined at the time of appointment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach courses in the general education curriculum, undergraduate business administration curriculum, and master’s in business administration program of Bluffton University each fall, & spring term.

Course load would depend upon the candidate, but could include

MGT 510 Organizations, Management and American Culture
MGT 662 Managing People in Organizations
MGT 625 Strategic Issues in Contemporary Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

A. Doctorate in business-related field or MBA with tested experience also welcome to apply.

B. Excellent analytical and communication skills.

C. Proficient with Microsoft Office; proficiency in or ability to learn learning management system software (Moodle).

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Primarily a sedentary position. Some occasional travel off-campus may be needed for conferences and/or off campus meetings.

COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience.
