Role Overview:
Are you an experienced tax professional seeking the next step in your career with a path to leadership? A prominent firm is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior Manager with deep expertise in tax provisions and corporate compliance. This is a hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH, offering a chance to lead strategic tax engagements in a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Lead multiple client engagements involving corporate income tax and ASC 740 tax provision work.
- Review complex tax returns and ASC 740 engagements prepared by team members.
- Manage staff, provide mentorship, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Oversee engagement fundamentals, including budgets, utilization, and realization.
- Research complex tax matters and consult with clients on tax planning strategies.
- Participate in business development, helping grow the firm's footprint through networking and service expansion.
- Work closely with national tax resources and subject matter experts across the firm.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred.
- Active CPA or JD (must have one).
- 4-7 years of progressive experience in corporate tax compliance and/or consulting.
- Must have Tax Provision experience
- Solid background in ASC 740 - Accounting for Income Taxes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and client service skills.
- Experience in a Top 15 public accounting or professional services firm strongly preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision is a plus.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Cleveland / Cincinnati area.
- Must be comfortable with a hybrid work schedule (in-office minimum 2 days/week).
- Demonstrated stability in work history preferred (limited short-term roles).
