About Us Southwest Electric Co. a division of SGB-Smit USA has provided electrical equipment and services to energy, utility, and industrial clients for over 75 years. We specialize in custom-engineered solutions, transformer services, and switchgear manufacturing. Role Overview We're hiring an experienced Outside Sales Account Manager to drive growth across a multi-state territory. You'll promote technical products and services, develop long-term customer relationships, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to close. Key Responsibilities:- Travel to customer sites to sell electrical services and equipment
- Generate and manage leads; build a strong sales pipeline
- Create proposals and respond to RFQs
- Collaborate with engineering and operations on project execution
- Attend trade shows and industry events
Requirements
- 5+ years of B2B sales (industrial, energy, or electrical industry preferred)
- Technical degree or experience with electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, etc.)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 80%
- Valid driver’s license; must pass background and drug screening
