Automotive service advisor
The Opportunity
We are a dedicated, family-owned specialty BMW car dealership, auto repair & restoration facility, and auto body business known for our high-quality service and attention to detail. We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to serve as the primary point of contact for our service and restoration clients.
This is a dynamic, full-time role that bridges the gap between our customers, technicians, and parts department. The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills, technical understanding, and a genuine passion for customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
An EAG service advisor acts as a liaison between clients and the technicians to manage vehicle service from start to finish. The repair orders can range from a normal routine service job all the way into full restoration. No job is alike and gives the opportunity for diverse series of jobs. Key responsibilities include greeting clients, assessing vehicle needs/issues, and explaining all necessary repairs and associated costs. Some of these projects are long term and can last upwards of 2 years to manage properly. This job is perfect for the person that enjoys being a service advisor for clients willing to spend upwards of $50,000 on their vehicles.
Customer Service & Communication
- Greet customers, identify service needs, and conduct detailed vehicle inspections.
- Present estimates clearly, explain repair recommendations, and secure service approvals.
- Maintain timely communication on repair status, costs, and delivery timelines.
- Address customer concerns quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Workflow Management
- Create and manage accurate repair orders (ROs) outlining customer concerns and required diagnostics.
- Coordinate workflow between technicians and parts department to ensure timely repairs.
- Coordinate the workflow with the body shop team for any vehicle that needs paint related items.
- Coordinate the workflow with the conditioning team for any vehicle that needs auto spa related services.
- Review final invoices and ensure vehicles meet quality standards before delivery.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer in an automotive service environment.
- Proven track record in sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Shop Management or Dealer Management Software.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, parts, and service operations.
Preferred
- Experience in facilities offering both mechanical and collision repair services.
- ASE Service Consultant certification.
- Familiarity with specialty, performance, or luxury vehicles.
