This General Production role supports a busy manufacturing operation by performing a variety of hands-on tasks in a metal stamping environment. You will work near presses, benders, and shears, handle both raw and finished products, and help prepare goods for shipment. Success in this position requires reliable attendance, basic math skills, physical stamina, and strong attention to detail. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based fully on-site in Archbold, OH, offering the chance to grow into a long-term role.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing and metal stamping environment.
• Operate and work near presses, benders, and shears while following safety guidelines.
• Stack finished and raw products to feed equipment and support production flow.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment, including organizing, packing, and staging materials.
• Inspect final parts for defects and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Use basic math skills, such as adding and subtracting, in daily tasks and measurements.
• Lift, push, and pull materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
• Follow established procedures and production schedules to meet daily output goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality as part of a small, close-knit crew.
• Wear required steel toe footwear and adhere to all safety and dress code requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support smooth manufacturing operations.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including adding and subtracting.
• Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Manufacturing or industrial work experience, with at least 1+ year preferred.
• Comfort working in a metal stamping and hardware manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and handling materials.
• Self-driven work ethic with the ability to stay focused and productive with minimal supervision.
• Hard-working mindset and willingness to take on physically demanding tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude beneficial for working near presses, benders, and shears.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, especially in a small crew environment.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Archbold, OH.
• Availability to work designated shifts, including potential 3rd shift with an 11:00 PM start time.
• Willingness and ability to wear steel toe footwear as required.

• Prior general production, general labor, or industrial experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience handling raw and finished goods and preparing products for shipment.
• Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Ability to adapt to different schedules, including Monday–Thursday 5:00 AM–3:00 PM (4-day work week) for certain roles and Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday for others.
• Interest in long-term employment through a contract-to-hire arrangement.
• Willingness to learn and grow into additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities.

Work Environment

This role is based fully on-site in a hardware manufacturing and metal stamping facility in Archbold, OH. You will work as part of a small crew where consistent attendance is essential to keeping operations running smoothly. The environment involves working around presses, benders, and shears, handling metal components, and performing physically active tasks throughout the shift. Steel toe footwear is required as part of the dress code to maintain safety standards. Typical schedules include a 4-day work week from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM for certain positions, as well as Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday options for other general labor roles, including available 3rd shift positions with an 11:00 PM start time. The facility operates with a focus on safety, teamwork, and efficient production.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Archbold, OH.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.75/hr.
