Lee Health is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our inpatient and outpatient teams across multiple hospital locations in Southwest Florida. Opportunities are available on both day and night shifts .

Schedule Options

Full-Time

• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• 72 hours per pay period
• $1,000 sign-on
• $2,000 experience (greater than one year)

Part-Time

• Two 12-hour shifts per week
• Sign-on Bonus $500 for day shift
• 1,000 for night shift

Typical Shifts

• Days: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
• Nights: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

Scheduling Requirements

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Position Summary

Under the guidance and direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and supports the implementation of individualized plans of care. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, promoting comfort and safety, monitoring basic needs, and responding appropriately in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
• Support patient comfort, safety, and well-being
• Assist with nutrition, hydration, and elimination needs
• Observe and report changes in patient condition
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Transport and access non-controlled medications as directed
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a State-Approved CNA Program required
  • Minimum 120 hours of academic and clinical training required
  • 165 hours preferred for acute care settings

Experience

• Previous CNA experience preferred
• New graduate CNAs with clinical training are encouraged to apply

Certifications

• American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire. Will accept American Red Cross BLS certifications.
• Certification must be current for a minimum of 90 days following hire

Licensure

• Current Florida CNA Certification required
• Candidates certified in another state must obtain Florida certification through reciprocity

Additional Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
