Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Cold Heading Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Columbia Station. This second-shift position (2 PM to midnight) is ideal for a detail-oriented, mechanically minded professional who takes pride in producing high-quality parts while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. JOB DUTIES:

• Operate machine and maintain quality after setup by others, including stopping the machine when questions arise.
• Effectively perform cold form processing and job production including loading raw materials, aligning cutter, quill and changing tooling.
• Be familiar with all guarding and safety features to safely operate the machine. Notifies experienced operator or maintenance of any problems.
• Be familiar with the proper use and maintenance of gauges.
• Able to read part drawings to complete process checks properly.
• Has basic knowledge of how dies and punches are installed into the machine.
• Understand the wire line relative to cutter, quill, dies and transfer.
• Operate forklift safely and possesses a forklift license.
• Able to use a computer and is familiar with job setup sheets.
• Complete trainings and understand all in process inspections including SPC charting. Completes inspections on time, every time.
• Become familiar with ISO9001 / IATF16949 / ISO14001 processes and work instructions relative to heading.
• Able to make minor adjustments to align transfer fingers to the die. F-09-01, Rev. 10/4/17
• Is trained and is familiar with preventive maintenance on headers and payoffs.
• Able to utilize information which has been entered into the ERP system and is accurate with entering information.
• Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the Heading Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of experience in a position of similar responsibilities and job knowledge
• Mechanical and Mathematical aptitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software packages
• Ability to read gauges such as micrometers, calipers, measuring tapes, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings
• Able to lift 40 pounds.
• Basic tools to do the job required
• High School Diploma
• Ability to pass a preemployment screening
