Dietary Supervisor/Cook

Position: Dietary Supervisor/Cook
Eden Vista Stow is seeking a Dietary Supervisor for our wonderful facility! The successful candidate will be a talented and motivated Dietary Supervisor with compassion, and a desire to provide the best nutritious meals for our residents. This role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for both supervising kitchen operations and participating in daily cooking activities. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and empathetic, while also maintaining the ability to lead with firmness and accountability. Experience in scratch cooking is highly preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain nutritious menus for residents, with an understanding of clinical dietary needs in an Assisted Living and Memory Care environment
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Prepare staff schedules to ensure timely and consistent service to residents
- Order kitchen supplies and manage inventory as needed
- Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with federal and local regulations
- Actively participate in meal preparation, including cooking three (3) days per week
- Ensure all dietary services meet regulatory standards and community expectations
Qualifications:
- Customer service-oriented with a strong commitment to resident satisfaction
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a dietary or healthcare setting preferred
- Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care environments preferred
- Skilled in scratch cooking and food preparation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, and staff
Schedule Compensation:
- Full-time, hourly position: $24–$26 per hour, depending on experience
- Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekends
Work Location: In person
