Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 3+ years in Automotive Stamping/Tooling or Automotive Manufacturing preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and ARC welding; hands-on die grinding and repair experience.
• Mindset: A positive, energetic, "ready-to-learn" attitude is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic math, deductive reasoning, and familiarity with Microsoft Office (CAD/SolidWorks experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on dies to ensure consistent equipment performance.
• Repair & Fabrication: Execute daily repairs, fabricate components (exit chutes, deflectors, brackets, etc.), and reconstruct heavily damaged inserts.
• Precision Work: Grind cutting inserts, replace sensors, and sharpen punches/bushings to master surface standards.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and large industrial forklifts.
• Workflow Management: Document repairs through work orders and maintain a clean, organized work area.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working weekends
