Posting Number: 20163119F Job Description The Ohio University School of Nursing Southern Campus seeks adjunct clinical focus faculty candidates with an emphasis on teaching clinical competencies with Associate and Bachelor Degree Nursing students. These positions are term positions and will be filled as needs arise for the Southern campus. Faculty are expected to plan, implement, and evaluate instruction for student clinical and lab experiences. These individuals will provide instruction, supervision, guidance, and counsel to nursing students in collaboration with and under the direction of the course lead(s) in relation to nursing program objectives and will include (1) planning student learning experiences; (2) evaluating student progress; (3) recording and reporting as required by the School of Nursing. Clinical sites are located in the following areas:
Ashland, KY
Portsmouth, OH
Ironton, OH
Huntington, WV Seeking experience in: Medical-Surgical Nursing Pediatric Nursing Community Nursing Obstetric Nursing Mental Health Nursing The need for these positions is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing by the time of appointment.
At least two years (24 months full time equivalent) of relevant clinical nursing experience in the United States is required.
A current unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or a current unencumbered RN license from a compact state, or the eligibility to obtain by the time of appointment is required. Additionally, a current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state in which the clinical is conducted if outside the state of Ohio is required.
