Aeromechanics Lead Engineer - Mechanical Component (m/f/d)
- Perform aeromechanical assessments in support of new engine design including modal analyses for frequency placement, forced response analysis and flutter assessments using finite element models (FEM) and/or unsteady computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.
- Prepare for rig and engine tests. Define airfoil instrumentation such as strain gages and light probes. Process component test data from ping test, laser vibrometry and bench fatigue. Generate on-test vibration monitoring documentation and prepare test plans.
- Execute rig and engine tests safely across all test sites globally. Monitor airfoil vibrations real time and modify test plans as needed.
- Process dynamic strain gage and light probe data using dynamic signal processing methods. Summarize key responses and observations. Document results in certification reports.
- Support aeromechanical technology development projects including advanced fluid-structure interaction methods and HCF mitigation technologies.
- Prepare and present technical information to internal and external customers.
- Ensure proper documentation of aeromechanics design, analysis, and test data.
- Share engineering information, lessons learned, and promote open dialogue.
- Prepare invention disclosures for technology that provides a competitive advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with an emphasis in vibration, aerodynamics, acoustics, or aeromechanics and a minimum of 3 years of relevant technical experience.

- Master's Degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with an emphasis in vibration, aerodynamics, acoustics, or aeromechanics and a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience
- PhD from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with an emphasis in vibration, aerodynamics, acoustics, or aeromechanics
- Master or PhD from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with an emphasis in vibration, aerodynamics, acoustics, or aeromechanics and strong relevant technical experience
- Master's degree or Ph.D.in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of mechanical design and finite element analysis software such as ANSYS.
- Knowledge of aerodynamics design and computational fluid dynamic software such as CFX.
- Experience in aeroelastic vibration test, instrumentation, and data analysis.
- Programing skills such as Fortran, MATLAB, or Python.
- Highly motivated, passionate, and exceptional communication skills.
- Proven teaming and collaboration skills.
