Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist (Akron)

Join a well-established team of 13 pediatric intensivists and 16 advanced practice providers in the Hospital's 23-bed multidisciplinary PICU. The PICU is expanding and will relocate to a new, redesigned space in fall 2025. Additionally, the hospital will add a dedicated 9-bed cardiac unit featuring an acuity adaptable patient care model.

Our PICU handles over 1800 admissions annually, caring for medical, cardiothoracic surgery, surgical subspecialty, and ECMO patients. As a level 1 trauma center, our intensivists also serve as medical control physicians for a regional transport service.

This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government, as it is based at a 501(c)(3) site.

Requirements include MD or DO degree, board certification in Pediatrics, eligibility or certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, additional training in cardiac intensive care, and the ability to obtain an Ohio medical license.
