About The Project/Clinic

AMI will provide comprehensive medical care and support to individuals in a migrant processing center, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare in a secure and controlled environment.

Job Summary

The physician will assist with the delivery of immediate, high-quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide Comprehensive supervision over all Clinical activity.
  • Evaluate scheduling to ensure appropriate clinical coverage.
  • Evaluate clinical professionals and provide Project Manager feedback on performances.
  • Evaluate the need for required medical expertise and report to Project Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' medical history, symptoms, and clinical findings
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as appropriate, and monitor patient responses and progress over time
  • Perform medical procedures and interventions within the scope of practice and specialty area, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, specialists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote health and well-being
  • Accurately document patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and treatment plans
  • Coordinate with Project Manager on any needed reports.
  • Maintain HIPPA and OSHA compliance
  • Coordinate and develop emergency operation plans and help with day to day operations.

The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.
  • Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Office.

Education & Experience

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a safe manner following all safety rules and regulations. Must work as a team member to improve safety culture and quality.
  • Read and follow instructions. Demonstrate safe work behavior.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English?(Spanish also highly preferred)
