From design support on new construction to optimizing existing facilities, our specialists commission complex HVAC systems, deliver startup and warranty services across many manufacturers, and provide preventive maintenance, repair, and retrofit solutions.

The Opportunity

Based in Hudson, OH and supporting clients across the Columbus area, you will be the technical point person who brings sophisticated building systems to life—then keeps them running at peak performance. You’ll work across air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management platforms.

A Day in the Role

• Morning: Commission a new rooftop packaged unit, verify controls sequences, and document startup results.
• Midday: Diagnose a water-source heat pump issue, source parts, and perform a safe, timely repair.
• Afternoon: Conduct preventive maintenance on mixed-manufacturer equipment and advise on retrofit options to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Throughout: Communicate clearly with clients, coordinate with our team, and keep organized records of work performed.

What You Bring

• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills for commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to work independently, with strong communication and organizational habits.
• Startup/commissioning experience on complex equipment from a range of OEMs.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

We welcome both experienced and entry-level technicians; the ideal candidate for our senior track has the qualifications below.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial heating and air-conditioning field experience.
• Knowledge of commercial A/C and heating, water-source heat pumps, and rooftop packaged systems.
• Documented startup experience; prior mentorship of junior techs is a plus.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Personal hand tools and a clean driving record.
• OSHA 10-hour (required) and OSHA 30 (preferred).
• Master HVAC-R license (preferred).
• Manufacturer trainings/certifications (e.g., Aaon, Smart Chiller, Samsung, ClimaCool, ClimateMaster) preferred.
• Self-starter who communicates well and shows up on time.

Compensation

Estimated Salary: $35/hourly - $55/hourly based on experience and skills plus benefits.
