Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring cardiac medication competency and an active OH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Cardiac patient population requiring telemetry monitoring
• Telemetry experience and knowledge of heart rhythms required

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required (must show active status in Nursys)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Demonstrated competency with cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Cardene, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex, including titration
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of heart rhythms
• Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient status, including signs and symptoms of stroke
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Current Med/Surg Telemetry skills checklist (within the past year) required for consideration

• RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
