Now hiring a part-time team member. Must be available to work M-F 4pm-7pm. Potential to progress to a full-time opportunity, but hiring for part-time to start. Must be willing to work in the patient's home and community sessions and confidently respond to challenging behaviors to include aggression with support and guidance. This would be a perfect fit for those individuals who have experience as paraprofessionals, support professionals, daycare providers, teachers, tutors, coaches, etc. for after-school hours working with our learners! We also encourage college students who might be looking to gain experience working with children or children with disabilities to consider applying. This would be a great fit for someone who intends to go into the education, social services, or psychology fields and provide valuable experience to your future endeavors. Working for us, you’ll receive lots of direction and support from our experienced BCBA Behavior Analysts as you learn to implement Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA therapy. You’ll support your assigned learners in their homes or community settings, such as daycares, preschools, and schools. No stagnant office settings! You’ll get to make a major impact on a learner and improve their future significantly through your work and also work with and improve the lives of their families. Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) teach children of all ages a variety of skills that are meaningful for them. Some examples of these skills that might pertain to your learner are: communicating effectively with others, asking for their wants and needs, following directions, completing daily living skills, and interacting and playing with peers. You might teach a child how to say their 1st words, how to play with their friends, or how to take care of themselves. And we teach you how to harness the power of science to do this through play! We provide the training! We provide an opportunity for you to learn everything you need to know about Autism and ABA therapy. We will also provide the training you need to prepare you to obtain your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification with the Behavior Analytic Certification Board. We can teach the right candidates how to be exceptional technicians for these children. - Experience working with children
- High School Diploma/GED minimum
- Pass a background check
- A willingness to learn!
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to your assigned learners
- Previous experience working with children
- Excellent time management skills .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to providing quality behavior analytic programming.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated to teach and learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Enthusiastic and great desire to work to with children diagnosed with autism
- Accuracy- Must be able to consistently accurately calculate and record information.
- Customer Service- Must respond promptly to customer needs. Must solicit customer feedback to improve service. Must meets commitments.
- Organization- Must be organized for effective time management and use of resources.
- Learning Orientation- Must have a desire and willingness to continuously learn and grow professionally; Must stay up to date on the latest changes in accounting principles and policies
- Flexibility- Must be able and willing “wear many hats” and adapt to changing business needs as the company grows; Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed
- Ethical Conduct- Must uphold and enforce the company’s ethical standards and comply with local, state and federal law
- Problem Solving- Demonstrates subject matter knowledge commensurate with experience. Solves problems using multiple problem-solving tools and techniques using appropriate resources, personal knowledge and experience with whatever data are available given the situation.
