Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a dedicated and empathetic Home Health Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and a strong dedication to delivering top-notch care. As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily tasks, offering companionship, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility needs, including transferring and positioning clients as needed.
- Prepare and serve meals based on dietary requirements and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings as
necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and conversations to promote social interaction.
- Monitor and communicate any changes in clients' physical or emotional well-being to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided in a timely manner.
Skills:
- Experience in dementia care, nursing home settings, medication administration, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting when required.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and providing basic medical support.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and social work practices.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and genuine concern for the well-being of clients.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license if necessary for the role.
- Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to undergo background screening as part of the hiring process.
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
