Quality Engineer

A large and local manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Director of Quality in the operation of the ISO 9001 Quality System. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

Review internal rejections and root cause identification
Perform quality audits and conduct internal Auditing Training
PPAP including SPC, Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, and GD&T
Handle documentation control, corrective action generation, response, and follow up
In-process discrepant material disposition and return material authorization and dispositions
Make customer and supplier communication or correspondence in relation to product
Perform other duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

Must have experience in a manufacturing environment with an ISO9001 quality system
Must have a working knowledge of PPAP's, geometric dimensioning, tolerances, and statistical process control
Must be proficient using micrometers, digital and dial calipers, height gauges, gauge pins, protractors, hardness testers, and optical comparators
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required
Must be detail oriented, organized, able to handle multiple tasks, and work independently
The ability to fill out all documentation in a timely manner is required
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be safety-conscious, able to follow all safety rules, maintain a safe work environment, and be motivated to learn and develop within the company
