Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Position Type: Travel Contract
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Pediatrics, NICU, PICU, CVICU
• Location: Cleveland, OH 44195 (Ohio respiratory therapist jobs)
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 2/23/2026)
• Shifts: Night shifts, 12 hours (19:00 – 07:30); 3x12s or 4x12s per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,190
• Orientation: 16 hours

Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in high-acuity pediatric, NICU, and PICU settings (Level 4 care)
• Active Ohio RRT license
• NBRC certification (active)
• BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS certifications (active)
• Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty (from the past 12 months)
• Nicotine-free (facility is smoke-free)
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only)
• Ability to complete online training modules prior to orientation

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced respiratory care to pediatric, NICU, PICU, and CVICU patients
• Float between main campus and affiliated NICU/PEDS units as needed (Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, Hillcrest NICU)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in required fingerprinting and compliance processes
• Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to scheduling and compliance requirements
