Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An Ohio-licensed Special Education teacher is needed to lead a self-contained classroom serving students in grades 7 through 12. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to progress academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement specialized lesson plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in grades 7-12.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including related service providers and family members, to support student growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independence.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Ohio Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with middle school and high school students (grades 6-8 and 9-12).
• Proven ability to manage a self-contained classroom.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to creating individualized educational experiences.

Location:

• Position is located in Howard, Ohio.
