Job Summary:
The Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting the sales team in the Storage division. This role provides administrative, customer, and operational support to help drive sales growth, ensure accurate order processing, and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction. The Sales Assistant works closely with Sales, Operations, and Accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support and Coordination:

  • Support sales representatives with administrative tasks, including preparing quotes, sales orders, proposals, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into internal systems.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, and sales data in various computer systems.
  • Assist with tracking sales activity, pipelines, and key performance metrics.

Customer Service and Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and professional responses.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Accounting, and other departments to resolve order issues, delivery questions, and billing concerns.
  • Communicate order status updates, backorders, and lead times to customers and internal stakeholders.

Administrative and Operational Support:

  • Assist with scheduling sales meetings, preparing reports, and compiling sales presentations.
  • Support sales initiatives, promotions, and marketing campaigns as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and pricing guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline sales processes.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused team environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or an administrative role, preferably in a distribution or service environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with computer systems such as Salesforce is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
