Seeking a skilled Pharmacist to provide per diem vacation coverage at a busy retail pharmacy. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to manage high prescription volume while maintaining accuracy and efficiency within a supportive team environment.
Location: Wooster, OH
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Pharmacy hours 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM; no lunch closure)
- Vacation coverage dates needed: August 10–14, September 14–18, and November 25
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and check over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
- Perform data entry on a high volume of prescriptions
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers promptly
- Verify and sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
- Collaborate with three full-time pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and operational standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current, valid Ohio pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, preferably PioneerRx
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data verification skills
- Effective communication abilities and customer service orientation
