About the Role
As a Parts Driver , you'll be the face of Ricart on the road. You'll ensure timely, accurate delivery and pickup of automotive parts and equipment to customers, satellite locations, wholesale accounts, and vendors. This role combines driving, organization, and customer service—and is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in doing things right.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate several types of delivery vehicles
- Deliver and pick up parts and equipment accurately and on time
- Match invoices to picked parts to ensure delivery accuracy
- Collect and verify payments with corresponding invoices
- Process customer returns and complete required paperwork
- Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently and safely
- Perform weekly vehicle checks (tires, oil, fluids, etc.)
- Report vehicle maintenance or repair needs to the Parts Manager
- Maintain a professional, friendly attitude with customers and coworkers
- Support the parts department and assist with related tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Strong, safe driving skills
- Ability to lift and load automotive parts of varying sizes and weights
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Safety-focused mindset
Physical & Work Environment Expectations
- Frequent driving, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Regular lifting of 20–50 lbs
- Use of hands for loading, unloading, and fine manipulation
- Moderate stress level in a customer- and time-sensitive role
Employment Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must meet company motor vehicle report standards
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug, DOT Physical, and background screenings
