Maintenance Planning Coordinator - Optical Manufacturing
A day in the life
As our Maintenance Planning Coordinator you orchestrate the flow of maintenance work in a high-automation lens laboratory. Your day begins by reviewing production schedules and open work orders in Megamation aligning labor parts and contractor activities to keep sophisticated lab equipment performing at its best with minimal downtime.
- Prepare work packages: organize materials write clear work instructions specify safety requirements and optimize the use of maintenance labor to maximize equipment uptime.
- Plan and prioritize: balance planned preventive predictive and project maintenance with production needs for assigned lab areas.
- Source whats needed: identify and procure parts and materials for planned and PM work; write purchase requests for repair/replacement parts and contract services.
- Estimate and schedule: forecast labor needs for all planned and preventive maintenance work orders and coordinate weekend/downtime activities.
- Lead coordination: run weekly meetings with Operations Technical and Maintenance teams to align priorities and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Drive PM excellence: create add and update PMs in Megamation as equipment and processes evolve.
- Manage vendors: schedule contractor activities for equipment preventive maintenance.
- Support special initiatives: take on additional responsibilities and projects as required.
What you bring
- Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years in highly automated lean/continuous flow manufacturing.
- Proficiency using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ability to read/interpret schematic diagrams and make sound independent decisions.
- Organized proactive problem solver with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision; flexible to business needs including overtime and varied hours.
- Ability to work seated walking or standing for up to 10 hours.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of Megamations CMMS planning and inventory modules.
