Travel Nursing Job Details – Columbus, OH

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 (Ohio travel nursing jobs)
• Unit: 9 BSH Ortho Neuro Spine Unit (Med Surg/PCU)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks (September 8, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940 - $1990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, Med Surg, or Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system preferred
• Ability to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• First-time travel nurses welcome to apply

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic and neuro spine surgeries, including total joint replacements and spinal cord injuries
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage arterial and central lines, and administer blood products
• Implement and manage protocols for heparin, insulin, and cardiac drips (titration as needed)
• Deliver wound care, tracheostomy management, and comprehensive post-surgical care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements, including timely fingerprinting
