Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, no call

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and manage cardiac medications including titration
• Recognize changes in patient status and intervene promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Assist in guiding and directing LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries

Qualifications

• Active Ohio or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current NIHSS certification
• Willingness to float to all units within skill level as needed
• Strong attendance and commitment to assigned shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac medication management (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, etc.)
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and heart rhythm recognition
• Critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Stroke assessment and intervention knowledge
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
