Equipment Technician
Shift: Day Shift | Location: Repair Shop
Summary:
Seeking an experienced Equipment Repair Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and service industrial and contractor equipment, including welding machines, step-down transformers, and small engines. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work overtime when required.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, maintenance, and repairs
• Diagnose and repair inverter welders, plasma cutters, and step-down transformers
• Troubleshoot gas/diesel engines
• Complete work orders and maintain organized workspace
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Support health, safety, and environmental policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma or GED; technical school preferred
• Experience: Minimum 3 years repairing tools, equipment, or machinery (construction equipment experience preferred)
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, schematics, drivetrain, and engines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently
• Must provide own repair tools; bench equipment provided
• Overtime and weekend work as needed

Preferred:

• Miller Electric certification

Physical & Work Environment:

• Heavy lifting, climbing, grinding, and repetitive motions required
• Frequent exposure to heat, noise, humidity, and moving mechanical parts
• Use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats) required
