Part-Time Retail Associate

Hours: Approximately 20 Hours/week ( M-F 2PM-6PM ). Some Saturday's may be requested, but not required (10am-2pm on Saturdays)!

Compensation: $15/hour

Description: This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a steady position after school or just looking for additional income.

We are looking to fill this position immediately!

Associate will be responsible for assisting with packaging and shipping operations at Safe Ship. Ideal candidate will have previous retail sales experience working directly with walk-in customers and answering telephone inquiries. We specialize in custom packaging solutions, so candidate must possess math skills necessary for box construction. All shipments are processed using shipping software, so candidate must be comfortable using a windows computer.

Safe Ship is a Field Print collection site. Associate will be trained to complete I9 (employment authorization) and finger print collections for subjects who have made an appointment through our partner agency. Training is provided.

Safe Ship also operates an outside commercial sales unit that sells industrial packaging and labeling solutions to businesses. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience working in a business-to-business environment.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience operating a cash register
• Comfortable with computer software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Windows)
• Provide outstanding customer service (Greet, smile, and interact with customers in a professional manor)
• Must have strong math skills and understand basic construction concepts
• Must have an eye for detail
• A fast learner, and someone eager to learn the business side of shipping operations
• On the job training will be provided
