Paint Operator - Afternoons

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Epoxy/Paint Operator to join our team in preparing, coating, and finishing metal components for high-performance power distribution systems. This is a fantastic contract-to-hire opportunity to get your foot in the door with a rapidly growing tech company, offering eligibility for a $500 sign-on bonus once hired on permanently! In this role, you will play an essential part in ensuring the durability, safety, and aesthetic quality of critical equipment. Daily duties include preparing parts through masking, cleaning, sanding, and bead blasting, as well as applying epoxy or paint using precise mixing ratios and application techniques. You will safely operate dispensing and paint line equipment, inspect finished parts against quality standards, follow build specifications, safety data sheets (SDS), and digital work instructions, maintain a clean 5S workspace, and collaborate with the team on process improvements. Ideal candidates have prior manufacturing or hands-on experience, comfortable using hand tools, and hold a high school diploma or GED (technical/trade school background preferred). Strong visual attention to detail, good vision for inspection, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the physical capability to stand for long periods, bend, squat, and kneel are required.
