**Job Summary:**
As an IT Support Technician at Ram Precision Industries, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. You will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for technology.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, addressing hardware and software issues promptly- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and networks in accordance with company standards
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain software applications and systems, including updates and patches
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions, documenting procedures and updates in the ticketing system
- Conduct regular system backups and assist in disaster recovery planning
- Educate employees on best practices for using company IT resources, ensuring cybersecurity compliance
- Participate in IT projects and contribute to the improvement of IT processes and workflows
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance IT support capabilities
- Escalate tickets to 3rd party IT company
**Qualifications:**
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred- Proven experience in an IT support role or helpdesk environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications
- Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of users
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications are a plus
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
