As a Field Project Manager for Data Center Security Systems, you will lead high-impact projects focused on the installation and integration of complex security technologies within mission-critical environments. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution—from planning and financial oversight to customer satisfaction and quality assurance—ensuring successful delivery across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
How you will do it
Project Leadership : Manage medium to high-priority data center projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives are met.
Methodology Execution : Apply PMI-based project management principles across integration, scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, risk, and procurement.
Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, coordination, and issue resolution across internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
Financial Oversight : Maintain full financial accountability, including forecasting, procurement, change order management, and adherence to AIA standards.
Quality Assurance : Conduct site inspections and ensure installations meet Johnson Controls’ quality standards and customer expectations.
Customer Engagement : Deliver responsive and professional support, ensuring timely resolution of customer concerns and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
Vendor Management : Oversee vendor relationships and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
What we look for
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years)
Minimum 5 years of experience in the security industry
Strong technical aptitude with ability to guide system programming and integration
Proven experience managing project financials, procurement, and change orders
Ability to lead in a matrixed environment and manage multiple stakeholders
Willingness to travel up to 80%
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of experience installing complex data center security systems
Experience with software programming and IT systems integration
Familiarity with platforms such as Genetec, Software House, VideoEdge, Exacq, Brivo, DMP, FireLite, Kantech, Milestone
Certifications: CSPM, PMP, OSHA 30
HIRING SALARY RANGE : $91,000 -134,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
