• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, 18-bed Operating Room
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel/contract nursing job)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:30 – 07:00)
• Total Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2050-$2100
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Procedures Per Day: 45-50 surgical procedures

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers and strong scrub experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting systems
• BCLS certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• Ability to float to different units as needed within the healthcare organization
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (at least one from a manager, director, or formal leader)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care during a wide range of surgical procedures, including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant surgeries
• Circulate and scrub, with emphasis on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Participate in call and weekend coverage (minimum 3 weekend shifts per 13-week contract)
