Lead Maintenance Technician

Work Schedule:
100% FTE Days. Hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday with a weekly on-call rotation. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison WI.

We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to:
- Serve as a point of contact for UW Health Maintenance and Engineering Control Room located at University Hospital.
- Train new staff and provide ongoing training for existing staff.
- Assign and monitor the progress of maintenance technicians and contractors and provide guidance to them.
- Be highly customer focused responsive and extremely reliable.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Two year technical diploma Required
Work Experience
- 4 years mechanical maintenance experience or formal training Required
- 4 years mechanical maintenance experience or formal training in a healthcare setting Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Senior Mechanic 1 or Building Operators Certification Preferred
- If position requires driving a company vehicle the following requirements apply:
Must be 21 years of age to drive a UW Health Fleet vehicle and must be 25 years of age to drive a UW Health vehicle rated for 15 or more passengers
Ability to be insured by Hospitals risk management insurer which requires (1) a valid Wisconsin Drivers License and (2) successfully passing a driving background check Required - Valid drivers license Required
