About the Position
Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:30 - 17:00) Experience: 3 years of outpatient clinic infusion experience required License: Valid compact or state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ONS/OCN certifications required Must-Have: ONS chemo-certified nurse Description: Travel Registered Nurse position in an outpatient clinic infusion setting. Shifts are 4 days a week, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No on-call duties and no weekend work required. The role involves floating between multiple clinics. Candidates should be ONS chemo-certified with infusion experience. The patient demographic primarily includes adults and geriatrics. The facility operates with a total of 3 infusion rooms. Documentation is managed using the EPIC system. Nurses will provide care for oncology patients requiring treatment and symptom management. Key skills needed include administering chemotherapy, managing infusion pumps, and handling body fluids post-chemotherapy. Candidates should be familiar with isolation precautions, monitoring chemotherapy, and recognizing abnormal lab values. Additional requirements include starting and maintaining IVs. Any candidate currently outside the state must be aware of the urgency of the fingerprinting process required for credentialing. References from previous employers or leadership roles are required for consideration.
