Registered Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel nursing contract)
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room – Cancer Hospital
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: Day/Evening rotating; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts (e.g., 06:30–17:00, 07:00–19:00, 10:30–20:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend & Call: Call and weekends as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,760–$2,830

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Ohio or compact state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BCLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Circulate and scrub experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Preferred: Experience in neuro, thoracic, ENT, orthopedic, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, robotics (Da Vinci), and oncology surgeries
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (one from a manager, director, or supervisor)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced Operating Room environment
• Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, including robotics and oncology cases
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in call and weekend coverage as required
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
