Continuous Improvement Internship (Summer 2026)

Job Description

Vertiv Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Intern to join our Field Operations team. This internship offers hands-on experience in Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies, supporting initiatives that drive operational excellence across service delivery processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct process audits and support workplace organization improvements
• Perform time studies and analyze service processes
• Assist in Process and Value Stream Mapping and identification of process bottlenecks
• Support implementation of Visual Management tools and dashboards
• Participate in Kaizen events and root cause analysis activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and standardize best practices
• Contribute to data collection and reporting for CI metrics and KPIs

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Self-starter with a passion for process improvement

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with time studies or process mapping
• Exposure to manufacturing or service operations environments
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar analytics platforms
