Core responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and electronic components using code books, manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Run power wiring and conduit for new machines (e.g., conveyors, programmable controllers), using hand/power tools and a voltage tester.
• Terminate power and control circuits; connect cables between equipment per prints and manuals.
• Diagnose faults in transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures with test equipment; replace damaged wires and cables.
• Function-test malfunctioning machinery; coordinate with Mechanics to pinpoint and correct issues.
• Replace relays, switches, and motors; set and position sensing devices.
• Safely work on 480V, 240V, and 120V systems, including single- and three-phase circuits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of journeyman-level electrical experience
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• PPE required, including a respirator/face mask; males must be clean shaven to ensure proper fit. PPG provides PPE.
