The Role

This is a key, strategic leadership hire . The Lead / Chief Estimator will take ownership of the estimating function and play a major role in the company’s future growth, with the opportunity to build and lead the estimating group over time.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading estimates for civil projects including roadway/asphalt and underground utilities

• Reviewing plans and specifications, completing takeoffs, and developing competitive bids

• Coordinating subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Supporting project setup, budgeting, and change orders after award

• Working closely with ownership, project managers, and field leadership in a team-first environment

What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of civil construction estimating experience (utilities, earthwork, roadway)

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience

• Strong knowledge of the civil construction process from bid through closeout

• Experience with HeavyBid and strong Excel skills

• Detail-oriented, collaborative leader with excellent communication skills
