Workers' Compensation Attorney - Akron, OH
A well-established Akron law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing employers and insurers in workers' compensation matters, including claims, hearings, and related litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a firm known for its defense expertise and commitment to client service.

- Competitive base salary range of $105,000 - $145,000 , commensurate with experience

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing
- 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation or insurance defense litigation
- Strong knowledge of Ohio workers' compensation laws and Industrial Commission procedures
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
- Trial or hearing experience before the Industrial Commission preferred
Responsibilities
- Represent employers and insurers in workers' compensation claims, hearings, and appeals
- Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Draft pleadings, position statements, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and develop effective defense strategies
- Advise clients on claims management, exposure, and compliance issues
- Attend hearings and mediations before the Industrial Commission of Ohio
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide timely case updates
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective and efficient case handling
