Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- At least three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility within environmental services.
- Proficient in mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, as well as compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Familiarity with infection control techniques.
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to environmental services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Development : Hire, train, evaluate, and manage housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring adherence to performance standards and providing guidance to maximize effectiveness.
- Operational Oversight : Develop cleaning systems and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe, sanitary environment; manage supply procurement, equipment maintenance, and departmental budgeting.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance : Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations; participate in quality improvement programs and facility committees to enhance environmental services.
