Water's Edge Apartments, located in Columbus, is currently seaking a full-time leasing consultant to join our team. Job Summary:

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for conducting the daily leasing activities of the property, which include showing apartments to potential renters, leasing apartments to qualified applicants, renewing leases with current tenants, and performing other duties concerning the property as directed. Hourly pay plus commission.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Warmly greets visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
• Provides potential tenants with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units.

• Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a willingness to please people

• Attract prospective residents through outreach marketing, touring, and consistent follow-up practices

• Display thorough knowledge of application process to include resident screening, approval process, and lease execution

• Perform administrative duties as assigned by property manager

• Provide courteous and efficient handling of residents' maintenance request and property inquiries

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous leasing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing and walking, giving tours, and meeting with potential tenants.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work weekends.
